1. Food Empowerment Project's New Website!

We are absolutely thrilled to be sharing our new website with you! You will notice that it is not completed -- yet! But you can see the issues we will be working on over the next several months.

The animal section is finished and we know you will want to read over the sections and look at the photos depicting these animals in a variety of settings.

2. An Appetite for Justice - Food Empowerment Project blog

Along with the new website we finally have a blog where we can talk about all of the issues that we work on.

The first blog is dedicated to all the people who have contributed to and/or worked on our website to make it a reality!

On Sunday, March 21st from 1:15pm - 3pm in Portland, the the Let Live Foundation is hosting a talk by lauren Ornelas, Founder and Director of the Food Empowerment Project, who will be discussing how your food choices can create a more just world.

Food Empowerment Project is thankful to have supporters who understand the importance of our mission, and we are very fortunate that they have chosen to organize a benefit for us at SF Vegan Drinks. There will be a raffle to win a dozen vegan cupcakes from Fat Bottom Bakery, and all proceeds will go to the Food Empowerment Project. We hope to see some of you there!
